AI ‘Proclaimer’

We are painfully aware of both the environmental impact of AI, and the danger to self-government posed by AI being controlled by self-interested actors with more power than sense.

That’s one of the major reasons why we are doing this.  AI should be controlled by the people. Not a small group of people. By humanity, writ large. And we believe the only way that is ever going to happen (before it is too late) is for everyone in the democracy reform space to push hard, altogether, on one targeted effort: voter sovereignty.—without equivocation and without delay.

This site’s content and the articles on Straight-Up Democracy we link to were largely generated using an AI with access to hundreds of pages of knowledge generated over many years while formulating.  They were created to form a Straight-Up Knowledge Base that could then be used as the basis for Ask Tiffany, an AI assistant capable of answering a wide range of questions about the Straight-Up philosophy, system, plan and project. We need to get a lot of people up to speed very quickly, so we are very thankful to have this tool at our disposal.

If you are one of the Luddites that think AI generated workproduct is inherently tainted, go smash your looms elsewhere–we are using it.

It’s a brave, new world, people!

Some of our papers are thought pieces or essays. Others take on the shape and form of academic papers. They are not. While they have all been inspected by human eyes, there is no assurance that the research is comprehensive or that the methodology is completely rigorous.

Of course, we plan to make as many of these papers as we can publication-worthy. That is why we are offering all comers access to them in their earliest drafts. Dig in! Pick them apart! Help us make them stronger!  Just email contact@straightupdemocracy.org to ask for commenting privileges.

In the meantime, we see the glass half full. The output of this process has been some surprisingly readable and cogent rough drafts that are worthwhile reading. We think you’ll find them useful.

AI will be with us for the rest of time!  Let’s not hide our heads in the sand. Let’s get on top of it. And again, there is but one way for the citizens of the world to ‘get on top ‘ of AI before we hit the singularity:
