The Straight-Up Plan: From Conjecture to Proof
This is a high-level look at what the Straight-Up Plan is all about. I need to convince you to join the Straight-Up Revolution. We need smart, motivated people who understand the urgency and importance of establishing direct democracy in America NOW and not waiting for the powers that be to give us permission. The Straight-Up Plan can be quickly executed once funding and staff are in place. The institutions that exist for ‘democracy reform,’ sadly, lack the agility and vision to pull off this historic transition from oligarchy to democracy. No worries! We can just do it ourselves! It won’t even be that hard, and it’ll be lots of fun!

In this video, I do something a bit nervy: I ask people working in the democracy reform industry to drop what they are doing and join us instead! I know! Who do I think I am?
I’m someone who cares. I care that your efforts are wasted trying to reform the legacy system which was designed to block your reforms. I care that you have dreams of a better world, and that they are being crushed. And yet, I know we can readily replace the legacy system with something much, much better that will result in the kind of society you dream of. But you are all very proud and very smart and very stuck in the ‘legacy’ mindset. So, I’ve got my work cut out convincing you.
I’m looking for the burnt out, the fed up, the disenchanted, and the exasperated among you to give me my day in court. This project will fill your depleted life force with new hope and promise! It will be exciting, fun, and immensely satisfying!

The Democracy, Straight-Up! Project will be bringing direct democracy to America, starting at the national level. This is what you want, even if you don’t realize it yet. January 3rd, 2029 will be an historic day. That will be the day the first Straight-Up Rep takes their seat in the US House. We call that ‘the tip of the wedge.’ Once that happens, the viability and the virtues of direct democracy will become indisputable, and its spread to other jurisdictions in the US and around the world will be hard to stop.
The plan to get us there is far more rigorously worked-out than I could possibly convey in this video. I’m looking for people who care about the fate of our species, and who, like me, have been looking to do the most possible good for humanity with their time here on earth.
